In view of the equivocel position in which

the majority of mer in this colony between the ages of 20 ard 2F are placed, it has been suggested that a deputation should be formed representative of mer who are eligible for Militery duty or for Wer Work in some form to call upon H. F. The Governor in order to express their desire for authoritative settlement of a question which is very vital one to each mer individually erd not without importance to the Colony se e

whole.

The Urdersigned will esteem it er act of ocurtesy if you will place this letter before His Excellercy The Governor together with their respectful request that be will appoint a time at which, ard a place where, they may be

allowed to call upon him.

Are mer. at present resident in the Colony, end who are either eligible for Military duty or for some form of war work, expressly forbidder by the Colonial Government from volunteering for service cutside this Colory.
